The rifle has the 308 magazine fitted and i think i may already have a replacement extractor. Thanks for the advice.
My L39 seems to be a bit poor at ejecting empty cases. With the ejector screw being the forward attachment for the PH5C sight, should it have a slightly longer screw fitted? Feed from the 7.62...
£265 you say. I suppose if your a keen collector who has to have a complete setup, your gonna pay the price even if its ridiculous. I can buy x3 slings for my AXMC for that
I have the square edge scope tin minus the sling/strap, and having looked at the silly prices occasionally asked for a replacement, i reckon it'll stay that way. :)

My issue is poor ejection throw once extraction is completed, I have...
I shall do the checks. Thanks
I have a 7.62 Magazine fitted, it also has the 19T stamped bolt head. Hopefully it hasn't been messed with as it's been in military use until i bought it.
Can anyone tell me if poor case ejection is common on the L39A1. Mine just doesn't seem to get the fired case clear unless i operate the bolt faster than i would my No4. Its a standard rifle with a...
I suppose so, when I used to work on BBMF, I often wondered why the pilots didn't flog the Spitfires. Answer being, for what reason, we know how fast and how tight they can turn. They have nothing to...
I have a 1918 SMLE and a 1945 No4T and shoot them regularly, I have noticed when watching folk shooting similar Enfield rifles, a fascination for fast cycling of the bolt. My rifles operate just fine...
Today I paid a visit to the National Firearms Centre in Leeds, Once I'd picked my jaw up off the floor having seen the collection, I was handed what looked like a No4 mk1, however this had a magazine...
Targeting a product to a specific ethnic group in your marketing has been seen in a negative light for a very long time.
I agree, I remember a friend of mine wearing a FUBU t-shirt, i said what...
Thankfully I managed to obtain a spacer from the nice folk at DS Solutions, I'll have a look at what impact it may have had on the woodwork not having a spacer fitted.
Hi Brian, the slight depression is / was on the face of the cocking piece. I shall try a get myself a spacer and follow wot you writ if can find it to rectify the issue .
Thanks
I pulled the rifle apart and polished all the contact points, I noticed on the cocking piece a small depression where the sear had made contact when cocking the weapon ( maybe heavy handed slamming...
Second pull and release is fine, I shall concentrate on checking the pins and the surface finish on the cocking piece. Once i get the 1st pull to be smooth, hopefully it should do the trick. If I...
Thanks Peter, I shall take it apart at the weekend and have a look at both the axis pins and the finish on the sear and cocking piece.
Hi all, I have an issue with my trigger on my No4T and having read Peters trigger pull off threads I'm still unsure of a way forward. When I start to take up the 1st stage it feels graunchy, it's as...
Laying next to a tank when it fired its gun 😂, did that once and once only near a challenger, hells bells, film stars never flinch. I vaguely remember in being taught to balance the GPMG, using the...
You know what Peter if I knew how to go about it I would.
Thanks for your replies, everyday is a learning day. Prior to joining the RAF, I spent a few years in the TA regularly shooting the SLR , GPMG in the SF role, dread to think how long a GPMG barrel...
Being the owner of a re-barrelled No1 MK3 and a 1945 No4T, what indications would indicate a barrel coming to the end of its useful life apart from throwing shotgun patterns.
I have an Ithaca 37, however it doesn't have a serial on the action, only the barrel has the serial. 2903xx with 2 below it. I recently found out what slam fire means when out pigeon shooting with it.
Did an American receive payment for work he did during filming in the form of a few buchons, P51 and a mk 9. I remember him having a two seat buchon too.
