I still have the stock , with my IP action in it and the Cartouche has gotten better with time. I have only seen 1 other one up close, it was at OGCA back in early March it had a 7,2 Winchester...
OUTSTANDING !!
Looks like you have a dandy, Cali201 has given some good references. The fact that it's in the 3,2 can and has in some cases made a big difference in value { A good thing } to some collectors.

$150.00 -$200.00
I watched this auction too, on another note I was curious about the document shown in picture 38 & 39 that show a broken receiver and a broken stock, was this a official document or what ??

That's funny !
Rockola made stocks and sent them to IP very early { WB1 }. A few years back I bought a RMC sling well marked I cut H/W stock, but no sign of a car touche. I wanted to use it for a early Rockola...
 The rest shouldn't be too hard.
That's a very early S'G' , nice find. I think I have only seen two before this one. Thanks
Cool Beans !!!
Of course, what else would he say ? Although I serious doubt you can find an original for 3k. But that certainly doesn't mean his was original either. He was being a salesman. I wonder were they both...
Nice work, you can't tell it was cut for the scope
Huummm looks like a nice project can't wait to see it. Thanks for the play by play restoration.
Chris
Very nice patch work, I'm sure the owner will be pleased
Try this thread, it shows a couple of examples of what your looking for { Type 3 Oval cut low wood with RMC in the sling well and boxed RMC verticaly with a CC } . Chris

Nice work again ! Looks like you have the missing piece to the puzzle. :)
Dang, I'm jealous, wish I had your wood skills. What is it soaking in if I may ask ? Look forward to seeing the S'G' redo, I have one that needs help. :(
Thanks Chris
He summit ed some information to the a Carbine Club news letter in 2004. I was hopping to reach him to get some more information. TIA Chris
I have what I need. Thanks Chris
Looks like you have a rare bird, the ones I have seen have either a N or IPN on top.
I believe they were all Parkerized, but once worn smooth they can appear to be blued.
Scott thanks for the slide show, your's confirms for me that I thought something was incorrect with the other. If I'm right your's has the correct late butt plate the other has the early version,...
There are other carbine's I would rather have for that amount of money. For 20K you could probably buy a nice spring tube Rock-Ola, a 3,2 IP, a 4 digit Inland and a early M1A1 these 4 together would...
Very nice, thanks for all the photos. In my opinion if you had to go out and replace that gun you better have 4-5 K to spend, minimum.
Here's a price comparison of one that sold on GB a few weeks...
June of 43 to August of 43 That's my best estimate. Chris
