Hello all, looking to get an idea on who/what etc on this bayonet a buddy of mine picked up. Who may have manufactured the bayonet, what rifle it might have been made for and possibly an appx age.

Received the paperwork the seller had that came with the rifle from the CMP...Was obtained from CMP in Oct of 04....Along with the book and Certificate was a tag that had the muzzle and throat...
Follow up...I checked with the seller..apparently, some of the Garands that were returned from Denmark that ended up at the CMP had terrible wood. He purchased the gun from them "woodless" then...
