I have a sporterized carbine and a "factory" full length. Both of them are nail drivers. They were full of grease when I got them though. Seems I heard that they had been put away for World War 3 -...
I ran out of Dad's primers last winter. He quit loading in the early 70's. Shot up the last of his loads last fall. The loaded rounds ALL fired as did the primers. I'd bet on storage - a little...
That explains why the bullet was jumping the rifling. Had a similar problem with a pistol. The cast bullets I was shooting needed to be resized. No problem now.
Let us know how the new barrel...
I'll answer my own question @ Load Data .This site lists numerous loads and powders for the 7.62 x 25 .
I'm curious. Why not just replace the Berdan primed brass with boxer primed and be done with the "shooting dirty" problem?

Starline brass has some interesting links that may help. Sorry to hear about AIM and Widners. They've been a nice find for me down south here.
Good Luck!
Steve
You shouldn't have a problem shipping sealed ammo from my side of the line. You might try Widners and AIM Supply as well as Midway.
I've got to the point of pulling the steel bullet out of the mil...
And the "eagles" are wauffens (sp) which were used as a stamp of approval. They also should appear on the Mauser rifle.

Anybody loaded any sabots for a cz52? I've got a few rounds of Winchester brass primed, some 223 bullets (pick a weight), the boots (plastic wads) and several different powders. I'm a bit reluctant...
I just joined the forum. Benn shooting etc. since before Hunters Safety was required. Not that I'm old. Currently working on a 1938 Geman Mauser rebuild sporter (nor original) in 30 06.
