I don't have much $$ into this rifle. If the bolt is a fake, but it ends up being safe to shoot, I'll be happy. Maybe I can melt some of that finish off 10 rounds at a time.

Yeah, I kind of figured that "Refinish" was at the hands of some diabolical maniac. Maybe it was used as a parade gun? I don't know.

I picked up a 1943 Savage made Enfield today. Serial Number 58C1581 with matching number bolt and magazine. It's had some work done, I wish it hadn't, but I thought it was still a worthwhile pickup....
