IMHO it's a little steep for a Russian capture. The metal finish is not bluing on a Russian capture it was redone by the Russians in some kind of black finish.
I would prefer an original, but a repro would work for now if I can get one. Regards, Jim
Tried Sarco yesterday as they sell a reproduction complete heat shield, bayonet assembly. They don't sell just the sling swivel and I couldn't get any information from them about getting just the...
Have posted a WTB in that forum, but still no responses.
Looking for a front sling swivel for a 1897 trench gun. Anyone know were I can find one? Thanks

I have a bolt on a Smith Corona with the mark NS on the top of the flat spot at the bolt handle. What does it mean?
I can not get over how odd blued butt plate screws look on a parked butt plate.
Thanks for the reply, so it is correct to have a parked butt plate and blued butt plate screws?
Jim, I read that thread before, no help as the Remingtons and Smith Coronas used different blued and parked parts. Thanks again
Thanks Jim, asked the same question on another forum and have not got a reply there either. Thanks to all whom are looking, Jim.
Hi again, did I ask a dumb question or has this question stumped everyone? Please
Hi all, this is my first post here, I have a Smith Corona 1903A3 that has a proper parkerized butt plate but the screws are blued. Is this correct or should the screws be parked also?
