I am quite impressed by the stock. Blow away as a matter of fact.
American version:35101
In .45 ACP.
I did such a conversion on a Golden State Arms 03A3 about 20 years ago. Used an old Volunteer Arms 45 barrel. Of course the bolt head was not a problem, but without checking to be sure, I would...
I appeared to me that the bolt is gone. That would lend credence to Dunkirk, and not wanting the Germans to have access to an operating SMLE.
[QUOTE= Only to be told that we had to wear ties and a bloody jacket! We should have known really..... But if we went out into the back room and drank our couple of beers and crisps it'd all be...
I agree with jrs.. Usually not a big danger since a normal charge nearly fills the case. Real risk is in loading pistol rounds. A little dab will do you on them.

Ok, finally got it. Right clicked on large picture, then clicked on "Save Link as" Took a spell ...@20 minutes, but I have it. I was wondering now if "Storm of Steel" was out there for free also.
The bore on this one is in fine shape. It does not appear to have been issued, or if it has, not used very much. I wonder what the value is... although I know that value is extremely difficult to...
I am a mere seeker of knowledge here, but if that is the case, why is the stock stamped NZ^D?

BN 3144765 ... No grasping grooves.
3261832619Ok, Here is a picture of the buttstock. I was wrong on the configuration and serial number. Serial # XX44733. On Butt stock NZ^D.
What is the significance of NZ > D on the stock. I assume it means New Zealand Defense. I own one (Remington 03) so marked but it has no import marks on it. Serial #s144XXX. Also does not have a red...
Collector's lament: Why oh why did Bubba discover shellac, varnish, sand paper and checkering tools? Why oh why does he always try to perfect perfection? I am not chunking rocks at your carbine as I...
I ordered a NO1 Mark III* Stacking Swivel and Screw from Springfield Sporters by check a couple of weeks ago. Got them in the mail on Saturday. I could not be more satisfied ... they were perfect -...
I tried to download A Rifleman went to War from your site. But all I got was the book cover. I have owned the actual book for years and years, but I would love to have it in PDF format for my office...
I was delighted to find McBride's book, the Emma Gees on Gutenburg. For those who do not know about the Gutenburg site, all books on it are free It has been around a spell, and the books are...
The metal looks like GM(Inland) just made it yesterday. The wood, what can I say? Would that sandpaper had never been developed. But, if I have a choice I'd take good metal every time.
Hello, I have been on Gunboards for a spell. Been shooting military since I bought a Spanish Mauser when I was 14 or so in 1965. Been a terrible addiction ever since. Though not to Spanish Mausers.
