Unfortunately, dealers are the biggest sources for FUD
FUD= Fear Uncertanty Doubt
My current barrel on my Service Rifle is a Wilson/DPMS barrel and it has a tad under 6K rounds though it and my last outing saw it shoot a 198-12X offhand and clean the slow prone(200yd reduced...
Either/or on the mounts.. the grooves are for those dinky 22lr scopes and the 3 screws are for the 597 mount....I prefeer the mount myself on my 597 (I'm running a red dot)
I'm building up a 1903A3 barreld action.. I see that Sarco has new production C stocks and they say they aren't boyds. anyone have an idea who made them? I'm tempted to say the heck with it and spend...
I too have ordered from them and got excellent service and great parts....(this was about 2yrs ago)

Me thinks that the 'Holy Handgrenade of Antioch' will be a better choice to smite thine enemies better than this new fangled one..... :super:

I use nothing but Federal primers for my semi-auto handguns as wel as my wheel guns. As for the AR and M1A etc.. I use Federal primers with no problems at all... the only rifle I had a problem with...
26.0gr Varget, CCI BR-4 primer, 52gr SMK seated 0.020" off the lands....
I have the Delrin one and it works just fine. I think that if you need one and have to use it every day, the metal one wood be the way to go, but for occasional use, the Delrin one is ok.
Also, don't forget, the CMP has traded ammo with retailers and some 'resalers' for parts.
I have several E&L's for a few of my semi-auto's but te one for the Carbine wil ONLY fit a standard stock.. It wil NOT fit a potbelly stock.
I run them from time to time for the 200yd offhand stage. 24.0gr Varget. About as accurate as the 69gr SMK's
I have several cans of FA57 match ammo.. stenciled as such on the cans as well.
+1 :thup:
