Thanks....I wish I would have discovered them earlier while ammo was still available. They are so cheap compared with 1903/a3s, 1917s, and M1s.
Paid $230 for the PF1412 and $300 for the Long...
I just acquired a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1. It is serial number PF 1412. It is also matching to the bolt and stock. It is in really good condition. Barrel is ultra sharp. It is a 6 groove barrel. Most...
The Prvi Partizan 30 carbine ammo is the most accurate ammuntion, short of handloads, I have shot out of my USGI M1 carbines.
Much more accurate than Aguila, WW, and LC I have as a comparison.

Absolutely the way I would go. Get on the M14 Firing Line Forum and get one from the PX there. I have an SAI Supermatch, 2 NM rifles, and a loaded model. Great rifles and fantastic customer service...
You mean this Ol' Hook  He is a national treasure. I have had him work on many of my M1's and M1A's. I am fortunate enough to call him a friend.

They're incredibly accurate rifles and that one you have is very nice indeed. With handloads these usually shoot an MOA with a great barrel. Off the bench of course. I believe if the front sight had...
They are both worth about the same, but the Winchester bolt probably is slightly more valuable for the fact they made fewer and have name recognition.
Personally, I would keep the one in the best...
Chuck it. It isn't worth the trouble when you can get a new Criterion barrel for $180. The Criterion barrels shoot very well. I like Wilson replacement barrels too.
Personally, I don't like the look of the light park....I prefer the dark park. I also am much more interested in the condition of the rifle than the correctness. I never got caught up in trying to...
Nice rifle. Definitley a Greek Return based on the letternig on the forward end of the stock. Stock should clean up really nice.
Hit it with boiled-linseed oil. Hand rub it in and let it sit overnight. Wipe of excess and then hit it with 0000 steel wool soaked in BLO. Wipe of excess. This is a kind of cleaning and improves the...
I have a dated Rockola barrel on an early Inalnd. It is marked 3-43 3/4" down the barrel from the top of the Rockola stamping.
Here is a pic and I added grease pencil to make it visible....
48.0 gr IMR-4895
155 gr Nosler CC BTHP
HXP Brass (2.490")
CCI 34 primer
COAL 3.28"
47.0 gr IMR-4895
168 gr Nosler J4 CC
HXP Brass (2.490")
CCI 34 primer
I tried to get a better look at it, but it was not a high-res photo. Looks like you found another. It looks like the same stamp to me.

Found a few that would close on a field gauge. Winchester bolt looked like new with 95% green park and the barrel gauged TE=2.0. The original Inland round bolt would not close on the no-go gauge and...
Yep....kinda looks like IO to me.
Here are a few more. You can see the IO Inland mark with the ordnance bomb and cross-cannon cartouche in the slingwell.
Still looking for the significance of the crescent shaped mark. Any...
Here you go:
I don't know but someone might. Crescent shape of some kind.

Try and take the images and adjust the size to say 6x8". The picture is such high-res that you can stretch it 5X and still be around 2.5 megapixels. You just need to resize them and crop them up.
