I have a early shipment one that is German marked.
How many Remington 1903's were made?
It looks to me that it says 3.5 tons but the 5 is struck deeper.
Thanks guys. I believe the finish is original. I haven't shot it yet but will soon.
Got this this week. The finish is like a dull blue. Is this original?
What do they do to deactivate a M1 carbine?
Make sure the stock is not pushing on the side of the barrel. Check both action screws are tight.
I heard alot of the service grades are coming with new non military stocks. For the history get one with a military stock. If you don't care about it having all correct parts there are many nice mix...
If you don't mind what did you have to give for it? I have one just like it including the OG stamp.
Could you give us a idea how it works?
So were you a nice guy and double the money he paid?
Looks like that 50 dollar donation paid off. That looks like a nice service grade.
Well I did take it off and no c. But the bluing was already scratched up. I only paid 700.00 for the gun, 150 rounds of brass, and a die set.
Rick I was commenting on the FJA did not start until the middle of 43.

I thought all 03A3's and later Remington 03's had the FJA....
Here are some pictures.
That all I had. I bought the gun and will post pictures Wednesday.
I posted this in the wrong place so I'll try it here. I'm looking at a 1900 Krag carbine # 281969. Could someone look this number up? The receiver is marked 1899.
94300 Here is one picture.
Looking at a Krag carbine that looks good. It's serial # is 281969. Does anyone know if this is a carbine #? The receiver is marked 1999.
Is that a type 11 or 111 lockbar sight?
Can you picture what would happen to the price of a carbine if only half of these came back?
Got these two last friday. Been looking for awhile for a CMP correct H&R. Found one and he also had a late correct Springfield. Now if I can find a IHC I'll be very happy.
