1903 Rem. Handguards
Trying to determine what is the correct 03 Rem. handguard.Many sources don't seem to agree.
Elliptical or semi-circular wind. knob cut,length of sight line groove etc. Any info. always greatly appreciated.

Remington M1903 handguards have the following characteristics:
(1) Concave ("high hump") profile.
(2) Half-moon (semi-circular) windage knob relief cut.
(3) Sight line clearance groove with sharp square corners in the bottom (most, but not all).
(4) Rough cut barrel channel with NO fixturing slot in the rear.
(5) Distinct 1" wide relief cut for the front metal clip.
