Remington a3 o3
Well im new at this stuff so be patient with me. The reason i got on your sight was to find out a little about a gun my dad gave me years ago.I wanted to change the scope on it and underneath the scope mount it said it was a remington a3 o3. I have the serial numbers and was wondering if i could fid out when it was made. I dont care about the value because it means more to me because it was his. And boy is it a tack driving s o b

Is it a 1903A3 or a 1903A4 ? A4s were stamped A3 . The difference is the A4s had their markings " shoved " to the edges of the reciever ring so as to be able to be read with a scope block attached . Big difference in value and in serial number to build date . You can look at the charts in the above link and see this .
