$17,604.40/Au not for this black duck "Rare" or not, according to Strattons book on them the No.4 & 5 the 0C serial places this rifles production in 1942 the serials go from in 1942 --- 0C ~ 40C

Unbelieveable..................................... .. and I sold my rifle to a man in Arnhem who had its heritage, complete with even the original binos/compass and smock/face veil all original in the chest with ist original scope and issued to one man with his name on everything who fought in the battle there for £4750.(delivered)
This will probably start a fresh thread on whether Savage did in fact convert any!!!
