    CMP 1999 1903A4 value

I have a 1903A4 from the CMPicon. No scope, and I did by some rings. I have someone that wants to buy it from me. What is the going price Range for these rifles. I am not a collector, just lucked out on the drawing.

The range can be fairly wide. It depends largely on the degree of originality. If you post some pictures we can give you some better estimates for a fair asking price. Serial number and barrel markings are important too if they don't reproduce well in the pics.

This illustration shows the views you should try to capture:

It is a CMPicon rifle. It is not some fake thing that some fony put up for sale. I have the papers to prove what I say. I do not have the computer skills to send pictures to this site. I can email pictures to addresses but don't know (I have tried) to send them to this place. It is an "A" clasifided rifle, the stock is ruff, at best, the hand guard is new. there are lots of stamping on the stock, 16 in all. I was just looking for a high/low range for such a rifle.

I would guess, without the scope, between $1500 and $3000 depending on condition and originality.

No one suggested your rifle was a phony or a clone. Better than half the 300 or so examples i have in my database have been overhauled or rebuilt one or more times. Original unrebuilt examples tend to be worth more than rebuilt rifles. If you want to email me some pictures you can send them to jgaynorZZZ@optonline.net (delete the z's) or just describe the markings and metal finishes and i will try to help.

    Regards,

    JIm

Ps there was one rifle in that s/n range in the CMPicon 1999 inventory.
