Pls help with dimensions for PIAT rubber recoil pad

I have been able to locate replica PIAT recoil pad canvas cover and body wrap for my PIAT.

Can someone provide the dimensions called out on the sketch. I am looking for material, rubber or wood if I have no better choice. I would like to fill out the boot. Thank you.

Try contacting Michel Perrier militaria. He has a catalogue on line. He has some PIAT new old stock parts. Butt pads tend to become lost when the lacing goes. Seaforth Museum - some moron lent the PIAT to a movie crew. Luckily I was later able to get a replacement.

Hard rubber should do that Paul....... What about a block from those people who make rubber tank track pads or those rubber tyres for traction engines. You can cut to size/shape on a band saw and mill it out to suit too

Seaforth is right about the film companies who borrow your stuff. DON'T let them...............

I was able to get some closed cell foam that will do fine. I was told the secret was to freeze the material and then it cuts like aluminum. I still need some dimensions. At least the depth of the pad. I can calculate the rest of the dimensions I need from the photograph and by PIAT but the photo does not show the depth. I suppose I can make a dummy and fit it to the bag. best, p.
