    Question A little help please

The seller says it is a genuine WWII production Winchester barrel that has a short chamber and zero muzzle wear. I have asked for more pictures like of the drawing number, chamber and muzzle but have yet to receive any. What do you Winchester guys think?

    WRA barrel

Winchester barrels have been faked since the early 1990's, there was even an article by Dick Deane in one of the GCAicon journals showing photos side by side of the fake WRA barrel and an original WRA barrel.

The short chambered part is very suspicious and without detailed photos of the lower band section and drawing number - you are taking a chance- the fake WRA barrels sold for around $150 and original new condition has to be in the $700 to $1000 price range

There is a WRA barrel floating around that had surface taken off of the face when it meets the barrel. They tried to pass it off on me here in Ohio and you could see it was messed with. This may be that barrel as it was in real nice condition. It also has long Pad & Splines on the gas cylinder pad. Rick Bicon

This all makes sense because no one is bidding on it. Thanks
