    Current No 4 Prices?

I've been looking for a matching WWII Enfield no4 for a little bit and noticed the prices are all over place. It also seems the prices have been climbing the last couple years. What is a good price for the rifle I described?

The price that your willing to pay to obtain one, on the Australianicon Web gunsite here they range from $450 ~ $2500.oo on USEDGUNS.COM.AU what you need to do is get out and about, on the web gun sites near you also look at gunshops that advertise on the web, go to gun shows or go to your local gunshop and ask them as well because every ones evaluation of Fair, Average, Good, & Excellent is different.....

Since you're in the USAicon, you'll need to look on some of the sales sites and follow what they sell for. If you do a bit of research, you'll be farther ahead than asking an open question to the world here, which is what it amounts to.
    Regards, Jim

I just sold a bunch for a friend on gunbroker in the good ole USAicon. All the matching guns brought 350.00 to 400.00 plus $35.00 shipping. The only variation was a 1941 Longbranch, which there are far fewer that brought $430.00. He had a beat up BSA 4T that he sold for $650.00 less scope and mount. He had one L59A1 but I scoped that up.

I can't believe I missed a gunbroker listing for a 1941 Long Branch - I search that website 2 times a week looking for Long Branches - not fair!!

That begs the question......... how on earth do you scope up a DP L59A1 rifle that has already been downgraded to DP spec?

I believe that should have been spelled as "scooped".

One of the joys and banes of modern electronics is automatic grammar and spelling "correction".

I have looked at completed GB sales, other sites and locally. That's where I've seen the scattered prices. Thanks for the the reply P246, your information was helpful.

The rest doesn't help at all? You'll see what you want and discard what doesn't agree with you... Look on line and follow. We can't tell you what a gun we can't see is worth.

Well if you have done the yards then pick out a rifle post the pics here so those with the experience can give you as honest appraisal with out being able to actually handle the weapon. Did you sell those guns to Gun Broker or place them on there yourself P246 'cause GB would have whacked a bit on them if they resold them.
Its the old adage bloke its what your prepared to pay for a particular type of a No.4 a UF serial will command a small premium price than some No.4's as will any one still in the mummy wrap un-issued (No FTR) or a No.4 T (As you never specified a No.4 T was off the radar). A rifle can be all matching well and good, but the draws could be stuffed, barrel knackered due to poor storage or cleaning (not), stock knocked to the four winds scuffed belted & bruised makes it very hard for the guys here to assist you or to get anywhere without the item & detailed pics of it and its previous history of it the No.4 you may wish to acquire

    My 3 No.4's are on the bottom of the picture 2 x 1942 Savage's and a 1944 BSA No.4
