    Flip Sight Questions

I found this Flip Sight in a bag at the bottom of a bin. I can't remember why I seperated this one from the others. 1st of all do you think it's real and 2nd would anyone know about these peculiar marks I circled. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the bad resolution if you need more clearer pics I will try again with different settings...Thank You

It sure is hard looking Frank, I can't imagine anyone trying to age a sight that far. It has pits and everything.
    Regards, Jim

Chisel stake marks to secure the aperture pin.
'Really Senior Member' Especially since I started on the original Culver forum. That had to be about 1998.

I think it is an original. The staking looks like it was done by an armorer at a later date. I expect the pin was migrating and that was his cure. It certainly isn't a standard staking mark. (-o- or >o<)

Inland??? Are you still having those "REALLY SENIOR MOMENTS"?
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
