The aluminum cased CCI is a one time fire as is steel cased ammo. I have not heard of anyone reloading any of the above, I think the warnings, "Do not Reload", have worked.

While it might look like it's boxer primed it's not. That is the punch mark from when the anvil for the berdan primer was made. Look very close at the inside and you will see the two small flash holes for the berdan primer. hth

The new production CCI Blazer ammunition is Boxer primed. I have a friend who has reloaded some .45 ACP cases 5 times with no signs of damage to the cases. I wouldn't do it myself, but Richard likes to recycle anything he can!

CCI does make Blazer in Brass with boxer primers that are reloadable. There is no way possible to load the aluminum cases due to primer differences. They were made that way just so no one would attempt to reload them.

Yes CCI is now calling some of there brass cased ammo Blazer but the original post was about aluminum cases which would not be boxer primed.

Yes Mr. McAskill, I realise that fact as I answered his first post! The poster who indicated one of his friends have reloaded 45 ACP 5 times without a hitch, doesn't realize that his friend is reloading brass, not aluminum cases.

Any aluminum cases I've seen at the range were berdan primed.

Mr. Anthony, I was answering Bilbo's post sir and not yours. I do disagree with you on no one reloading them as it's just human nature to disregard warnings to life and limb and I am sure someone somewhere has or will try to reload them. lol

Well, excuse me Mr. McAskill! I absolutely disagree with your opinion that it's human nature to disregard warnings to life and limb. If what you say is indeed fact, we would have hundreds of thousands of reloading accidents reported, which isn't the case. I give the shooting world much more credit than you have.... I believe that 99.9 % of the reloaders and shooters heed all the warnings and stick with recommended reloading practices.
And as far as reloading the aluminum cases, they crumble, collapse or split if you try to size them. The heat destroys the elasticity of the metal, something the manufacturer thought out quite well. You don't have to worry about the primer, they destroy themselves, (the case) before you get that far.
