    Parkerized or Blued?

    Are all M1icon's, USGI and commercial, parkerized, or were some blued?

    It would depend on the date and maker as to which. Generally, bolts, sears, safeties, triggers and magazine catches were blued.

    Plainfield. Post Korean War. 1959-61.

    I have seen Plainfields both parked and blued, and a mixture of both. Early ones used lots of parkerized GI parts. Late Plainfields were generally blued.
