    Type II S-HB Stock

Just seen a auction on GB with a Type II stock marked S-HB in the slingwell along with the Flaming Bomb.
    Is this a legit marking?
I don't recall ever seeing a HB stock marked this way......

2 links, so one will work.
    Look at the slingwell picture....

    Thx,
    Charlie-painter777

Being the first I've seen like it, I'd love to own this stock......... If it wasn't for the patch on the leftside.
It looks to far back to have been a Botched Bubba job cutting in for a M2 selector lever.
Gets me wondering if it had a scope mount.
Then wondering if it has holes drilled in the side of the receiver.
Just not enough carbine for the asking price, + shipping.
But I'd still love to own that stock if it hadn't been patched up.

Something tells me that Brian knows more that the words he has typed - again.

Brian, is there a reason you have pictures of a S-HB with Flame stock that doesn't come from that GB bid posting???????????????

Inquiring minds want to know (and I am sure Charlie is drooling)

Nothing more to tell. Charlie asked if the marking in the auction was real. It is so I posted that it is real.

I have pictures of the S-HB with Ordnance shell because Charlie said he had never seen one before he saw the one on the auction. So I pulled out a Std Prod carbine and took a picture of the sling well markings for him.

Seriously, thanks for the picture and the extra effort. Its sometimes hard to figure out if what we see on line is genuine or a product of someone's "imagination" produced to mislead. I wish i had the opportunity (and finances) to stucy stocks more. They seem to have as wide of an history as the firearms themselves.

    Nice seeing something different
