    long since gone.

At the time (@5 years ago), it was somewhat overpriced.

Can anyone explain why that MkII scope has a four-digit serial number?

Yes, it was a duplicate serial number which had an extra number added on the end.

I posted pictures in a thread a few years ago illustrating the numeral position on 2 other mk2 scopes.

Serial numbers 384c and 385c (and possibly others in the same sequence) appear to have been duplicated several times.

They added an additional digit to differentiate them.
