I spent the day at the ranges yesterday and determined that my 1941 Lithgowicon is shooting probably about a foot low at 200 yards. This is with a handload of 41 grains of N140 behind a 174 grain SMK. Unfortunately I can't chrono my loads but I believe that this is close to the standard .303 velocity of 2440 fps.

In the past I changed the blade thinking that I needed to to account for a change in butt length (I may have been wrong on that!). I have a set of military blades and I could do with some advice on which blade I might swap to. The current blade is a '0'.
