I don't know why, but I really like the Remington rolling block. It was a high powered, accurate single shot for its day and as such saw a lot of use as a hunting rifle. I think it was also exported to foreign armies after being narrowly rejected by the US government which favored the Springfield trap door rifle. It was the pinnacle of single shot, the next step being the Mauser action rifles that stormed the 1890s.

It might be interesting to see what sort of groups you could make with it at the range. It was said to have competition level accuracy.
