I picked up an 03-A3 today. It is SN#4134042, excellent condition 2 groove barrel is RA 12-43. Front sight marked R, blued bayo lug marked R, blued front swivel marked R, blued rear swivel marked R, OFF release marked R, safety tab marked R, cocking piece marked R, shroud marked R, extractor ring marked R, bolt head un marked, bolt handle marked O 12 on top of root. All bolt parts are dark..blued? Except for the extractor which is gray parked. The receiver and barrel are gray parked. Trigger assembly blued and marked R...the blued finish is thinned.. The walnut stock is a straight stock, two reinforcement bolts, no finger grooves, with a (P) under wrist, an FJA no box, an ordnance wheel and an R on left side above trigger area. There are several small cartouches on underside of stock just in front of mag area. The rifle has a sewn on white twill sling which leads me to think drill, VFW color guard or cadet use. The rifle is totally functional and shows no compromises that some drill purpose weapons might have. I will post pics later when there is less sun.
