A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. ...This morning, ( January 31st 2008 ) I was notified by Michael DiMaggio, of Sarco, that they currently have the REPRO scope mounts for the No.4 ( $149 + est $25-$30 shipping ) if anyone is interested. NO PADS ! .... I ended up using a no drill and tap commercial mount, as I was really just more interested in the shooting rather than the correct/repro sniper. .... Anyway, passing this along for interest ! ..... David K. ....

I just got a new Sarco mount, actually very happy with it.(see my thread below this one)

Nodak Spud previously had scope pad sets including the needed taps and screws. They also had cheekrests and target sling swivels, you could buy a kit. I looked on their site and now can't find it. Anyone know if they still offer them? Prices were much better than the included Numrich items.
