recoil plate ID
I've got a type 3 recoil plate, not cast, that's identified with a hyphen (-) within a circle on the left side of the tang. Any idea who the mfr would be? Thanks

Does it have a casting ridge on top like some of the post war plates? I can't answer your question off the top of my head, but will check later this evening in WarBabyIII to see if there's anything I can find out. A couple pictures might help. - Bob

I can see no casting lines anywhere on it. The cast recoil plates I've seen have not been marked anywhere. I've never seen an RIA marked recoil plate - Dennis

I didn't have time to check WarBaby yet, but that mark might be "I" inside a "C" - can anyone else give us some help on this one? - Bob

It is one in a C. I have also seen 2 in a C. I think they are cast post war replacement recoil plates.

Post war for sure and can be as late as Viet Nam. I agree with Budda 7 that it's cast and then machined to make it smooth.
