Mk I Bren
IIRC only the Mk I Bren came with the attachment for the Butt Stock grip. Since yours has the attachment for the handle imo you have the correct butt stock. The barrel also looks correct for a Mk I Bren. THe drum sights as well are for the Mk I. How ever I think your bipod is for the Mk II.

I assume, that from these photo's. You are not allowed to have internal working parts in these Deactivated Bren's?

Re SAMNEV in thread 81, this Mk2 butt doesn't have the bracket for the butt handle. The bracket on the underside of this butt is just to mount the Bren on the tripod. In point of fact, it's now accepted that after the introduction of the cheaper/simpliified Mk2 guns, the Mk2 butt (as on M606's gun above) was a factory fitting on Mk1 production guns, certainly in the UK and definately standard/acceptable practice in service. As indeed were Mk2 bipods.
There are a few(?) genuine 1948 Bren Infantry Training pamphlets on that auction site if anyone with a Bren is interested in one for their collection of odds and sods

So I am ASSUMING, that you are NOT allowed. to have the Deactivated Internal WORKING PARTS, in your deactivated Guns over there? That looks like a plate of steel welded inside to deny the insertion of a Piston Post & breech block?
Also, the front of the Gas Cylinder welded up crudely, to prevent a piston going inside as well.

Yes, I have not allowed internal working parts ... according to the law of my country .
I just want to clean up those welds that allow easy disassembly!

Yes , is a plate welded and crudely weld up on gas cylinder hole.
I'll try to take pictures of better resolution.
Best regards

Your deactivation rules are very strict! I would imagine that the tightness/stiffness of the butt sliode is due to the fact that the body is welded back together. Is the cut body a condition of deactivation in Argentina? Do you know how to remove the barrel nut?
