M1903 and M1903A3/A4 WW2 Replacement Stocks
While looking on some auction sites, I noticed that several NOS WW2 era M1903 and M1903A3/A4 replacement stocks appear to not have the upper / front band screw hole drilled. Was this common? Also, how can you determine the manufacturer of a stock? I know typically "S" for Springfield and "K" for Keystone, but what about unmarked and /or other manufacturers? Thanks.
