No problems here. One time I had to log in after not posting anything for quite awhile. My old computer used to behave like yours, it finally went belly up.

~ Could be the Browser used ??
Same thing here . . . . The "Remember Me" function seems to have amnesia. Perhaps it's the Browser being used. Have Mozilla Firefox and some sites just don't like it. Sometimes on sites such as eBay, a few of the interactive buttons and features are invisible to Firefox. As it stands, I too have to keep logging into this site every four or five minutes. The thing won't remember my password either. . . . . Have not tried this site with any other Browser and I refuse to use Microsquish Deplorer (Microsoft Explorer) to surf the WEB . . ???

Check your security settings. If you're not accepting cookies, the system won't "remember" you!

Got to be you guy's settings. I use Firefox and have only had to sign in like twice since March.
But then I don't send out any nasty messages. God, and Milsurps, are good to me.

It's the cookies. vBulletin uses cookies to remember you. If you don't set your computer to accept cookies from the site, it simply won't remember you.

Or if the setting is to remove the cookies at the end of each session...

Third, I shouldn't have to compromise my security settings below "medium" for any site I want to visit. Setting that below medium would only open me up to a lot of trash that I shouldn't have to deal with.
Back to you folks. If you're smart enough to tell me which forums my post should be "moved" to then surely you're smart enough for this 'lil ol' problem aren't you?
Get a grip Bob ...
First, your personal computer technical set-up problems have absolutely nothing to do with the content of 2nd Amendment and Technical Forums.
If 8,000+ members posted whatever they wanted wherever they wanted in any forum, there'd be freakin chaos and we're sure you'd be whining about that big time.
So, from now on, please post your content in the most relevant forum, which would currently be the catch all "off topic" forum Gun Talk, where your post was moved complete with a one day re-direct for convenience. Thank you ...
Second, there's nothing wrong with the "Remember Me?" function and it's been functioning fine for almost 3 years.
We're not as smart as you, but surely if you thought about it for a minute, you'd conclude that the ONLY way your computer would be able to remember a setting such as this for any web site, would be to have a setting locally in your browser. Quite simply, it's "chicken or the egg". Without actually logging in, this site doesn't know who you are and can't save anything here that would remember you. If you're not logged in, then how the heck would any site know to remember you when you arrived UNLESS you had something on your end that told your computer to use information stored on your computer to log into that site, hence ... "chicken or the egg" problem, which came first.
If Medium on your browser blocks you selecting "cookies" being stored locally on your computer, then either switch your browser to Custom and include that setting only, or write a letter of complaint to the software developer of the browser you've chosen to use to alter their standards.
Thank you for your consideration .....
