Question Ir's all Greek to me !!

I'm a shotgun fan. Parkers/LC Smith...and some military..Always had an itch for a Jungle Carbine..and bought a #4..Mark 1..Pretty nice old gun that has had about an inch cut off the barrel..(who knows ?)..so that the sight is against the wood...I want to convert this to a Jungle..but I'm not a purist when it comes to restoration/upgrades..etc. Can someone tell me what stock and forend (carbine) will exchange..if any. Need a flash hider too..I would appreciate any help or advice...and..who is a good parts supplier that you would use ?..thanks..Jerry..

    Where are you?

You could buy a U.K./EU deac and just take the parts off you want. It’s probably cheaper than buying the parts separately.

The #4 stock can be fashioned and the FH are again available from Gun parts in West Hurley. I have a real flash hider here but think there might be a problem sending it. Besides, I want too much for it. Numrich has them for cheap. Don't know if these are any good, the last bunch were mixed responses.

I'm in Arkansas. I've noticed that the carbine stock sling attachment is way different. I see some with rounded wood forends..some with metal caps..some with no wood on top of barrel !!!..I'm learning..but still appreciate experience from the experts..Thanks..jerry..

There should be a handguard. The barrel could be shortened and machined for a flash hider. Stock sets have been advertised. You can make something up that looks like a No. 5, but keep in mind that a No. 5's receiver and barrel have lightning cuts, compared with No. 4 parts.

    Exclamation

UPDATE...rec'd the jungle flash hider from Numrich..Quality is quite nice..Did some measuring...cut exactly 4 inches from the #4 barrel...and flash hider slipped snugly into place. Overall length of rifle is 40 1/4 inches.. I broke the front sight insert putting it in the flash hider..Where can I get a replacement ?.. I'll post some pics. when I get the whole thing finished. Are there any 15 or 20 round magazines for the Enfields ?..

WTB = "want to buy", it's one of the other forums on here.
