91/30 1941 Izzy is my favorite, very accurate.

    Hi waterdog !
I agree with you. I got a 91/30 captured and re-worked by the Finns: it's very accurate.

I got to go with the 91/30 as well, although the 03 Springfield is a very close second. Mine's also a '41 Izzy, an arsenal refinish. It's fun to shoot, recoil is mild, and I'm not worried about ever breaking it or being unable to find (and afford) parts.

Hello! I always said M91/30 is fun to shoot. You're lucky your baby has a mild recoil, mine kicks like a mule! Anyway I enjoy she, is a pleasure to be at the range together .

Izzy is just short for Izhevsk, it refers to the arsenal of manufacture for a number of different soviet or tsarist era guns. People just tend to say izzy because nobody can ever remember how to spell or pronounce Izhevsk. I've got an izzy mosin 91/30, some people have izzy nagant revolvers, izzy sks's, izzy ak's, etc.

Hello MJ ! I apologize to be late, yes "Izzy" is short form for Izhevsk. My M91/30 too is a "Izzy" product, very accurate.

'hitler's buzzsaw' > the MG42, and of course the GARAND

    Hello!

    I agree.
Sometimes I fly with fantasy and I imagine an M91/30 semi-automatic, like the M1icon Garand.... ...what a rifle!....
