Hello to all of you other addicts.

Hello, I am a retired river rat in Southern Ohio. My two biggest vices are Corvetts and firearms. If it goes "BANG" I like it. I have shot all of my life, including competition with the gov. 45. My collection is vaired, but my main interest is the M-1 carbine witch I have collected for several years. I am a member of the NRA and the Ohio Gun Collectors Assn. I look forward to learning from all of you! Thanks, Vette.

If it goes "BANG" I like it, unless it is my engine!

Hello the forums, I drifted over after the demise of Joustericon.com . I'm just a guy, who shoots some, rides and wrenches on his old bike some, stays busy with life, etc. There seems to be a LOT to read here!

New member came from the CSP site

Hello, I am glad to have another site to go to after the close of the CSPicon. I enjoy both garands and carbines along with the black rifles.

    New member says Hello

    Hello everyone,

My name is John and I live in Victoria, Britishicon Columbia on Vancouver Island, Canadaicon.

I found your site just recently after I became an accidental South American milsurp collector. I've been lurking and getting lots of good info from the folks here, so I decided I might as well join in.

I recently purchased an 1891 Argentine rifle from my local gunsmiths shop after admiring this beautiful rifle for months. I'd never seen anything like it. My avatar is a picture of it.

As I was leaving he said he had an old Peruvianicon carbine that was sitting around and I could have it cheap. So next payday I bought it too.

Like I said, it looks like I'm collecting south american mausers.
