    Greetings to all!
    I've been a collector (2nd generation) of military hardware for many years and have now just begun to research some of my items. Looking forward to learning and sharing some of this information.

    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Smile Hello everyone

    I saved a 1917 enfield from a chop saw a year ago and I love it. I look forward to talking to anyone who loves to shoot milsurp rifles. I have alot to learn and I am glad to have the chance to talk to so many experts.

    Good evening Gentleman;
    I am a long time shooter and collector. One of my interests is in old battle rifles. I have an M1icon Garand, numerous SKS's, a few No.1 Mk.III's, and a couple of 2A No.1 Mk.III's. As you can see I really like the No.1 Mk.III and it's place in history along with it's durability.
    I am really looking forward to learning more about my M1 Garand, along with whatever experience I can contribute to the group.
    Sincerely,

    Chris Lewis

    Hello all -

    Hello everyone. Glad to be in the company of so many knowledgeable folks. I've been collecting milsurp rifles for 20 years -- bought the first one (SMLE) at a Woolworth's in the local mall. Can't do that anymore.

    I dabble in rifles over a wide period, but focus on contract mausers, primarily for South Americaicon.

    Regards,
    Chris

    Hello, I have lurked for years on Joustericon. Reluctant to enter into discussions because of my AOL connection and lack of knowledge. I have now shed the AOL stigma and having gained some limited knlwledge I feel ready to participate.

    I am mainly interested in military firearms, having a small collection of WW2 era. I believe I have been afflicted with the Enfield syndrome
