I have a pot belly SA stock, so I don't care about the snap. I have always used a type I pouch on my carbine, so I am used to the feel, and doesn't bother me a bit. (in fact i had it on when I shot that awesome group last month).

I carried an M1icon Carbine for an Law Enforcement trunk gun for the majority of my 20+ years. With two 15 rounders in the pouch and a 30 round GI SEY mag in the weapon gave me 60 rounds when I grabbed the weapon. When we were doing a lot of lab raids, I taped two 30s together with black duct tape, so I had 90 rounds without messing with a shoulder bag.

At home since I retired, I still have the pouch with 2 mags and a 30 rounder in the weapon. A great visual deterrent for goblins who come onto the farm.

PS, I even had it on a couple times when I took deer with it, and it did not mess up the feel, but as a say, that (with the "stock" pouch) is about the only way it feels right to me!
