I beleive for ammo purchases you only need club affiliation, you dont need proof of firearms activity

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Homey Don't Fill Out No Paperwork!

    Hello All:

    Thanks for the replies ~

As mentioned before. . . paying premium for ammunition is not a problem in order to avoid a red tape hassle. I have nothing against the CMPicon and know it to be an excellent program that provides a great service in many ways. With that said, I am not interested.

Have no club memberships and I like it that way. There are no credit cards or loan debts of any kind. I refuse to fill out intrusive paperwork except for tax return or two which is done so under threat of imprisonment. That's it! Pay cash for everything including assorted automobiles and a small truck.

Used to be a member in all sorts of established organizations and historical societies. Held higher office in some of them too. At this late date, such entanglements are purposely avoided. My opinion now is that for the most part, clubs suck!

This is one guy who is a seriously opposed to filling out forms. Why the hell should I bother to do so? It's like those supermarkets that try to force a customer to fill out an application for a "Courtesy Card". To hell with that crap! If you won't submit to the store management's extortion, the rotten bastards charge a person higher prices for the groceries. Which gangster racketeer started this scam? That's outrageous, but most of the sheeple submit without protest. Just go someplace else without the bothersome paperwork!

Being in my sixties now, I refuse to apply for socialist security retirement bennies. The fascist thugs can shove that too! This shocks some of the parasite class who are addicted to government goodies. Want nothing to do with a corrupt system that takes from younger working people and redistributes their hard earned money to somebody else. That's an evil un-American scheme and I simply can't be a part of it.

As far as buying vintage rifles and that kind of deal, these days, those items are readily picked-up through private in state transaction. Recently purchased two decent M1icon Garand rifles from guys who claimed to have lost jobs and needed the cash. Paid $525 and $575 for the nice M1s, with both looking to be originally CMP Service grade rifles. The only paper involved were the dollars transferred hand to hand. Easy as pie and I got to see exactly what was bought.

As they say . . Cash talks! Pictures of those rifles are below. Nice matching USGI walnut wood on both. Thanks again for the replies . . . .

    Ciao' for now, Capt. Quahog

    Capt Quahog

Capt Quahog has his own principles and I personally admirer that. You have to do what you believe in at all cost. The all mighty dollar has created the problem this country is in now. Ship all the jobs overseas just to save a buck. Who cares that your neighbor no longer has a job as long as you have your(right). For some people the day has come for them, there out of work and just can't understand why.

Last time I looked, the DD214 will suffice on its own in military retired status

    CMPicon Quote:
These special affiliates include: Congressionally chartered veterans'
organizations such as the VFW, AL, DAV, MCL, etc. U.S. Military services
(active or reserves), National Guard, to include retirees."

    See Eligibility Requirements

It is a good deal. And once qual'd you are qual'd for life (or until Obama's next stroke of the pen).
    Do it now.

On second thought, don't do it now.
That leaves more ammo for me.

the only problem with the SOCIALIST Security is that you paid into it all your working days. It's yours! Yes it is too bad that those of us still working are supporting the system that was suppose to be self sufficent until some well meaning democratic presidents stole from the fund to pay for pet prodjects.

    Hey Cap,

Nice Garands. Both of those would sell at my local show easily and fast for a grand each. Specially the one with the lockbar sights. I'm a Reagan Republican and buy ammo from the CMPicon. Think you could have given guys who needed money a few more bucks for those rifles.

Did I read correctly that someone would pay $1 a round for ball or SB ammo ? Are you serious ? I could see maybe 50 cents a round but not $1 . That just goes to show how long it has been since I bought retail. Good thing I saw the "Writing on the Wall" years ago (right after the klinton scare) and started bulking up.

Pat's Reloading has Greek HXP on clips for sale at .45 a round. Georgia Arms advertises "Canned Heat" M2 spec reloads for .59 a round. Both places state that the wait on shipping is as long or longer than CMPs. All the ammo distributers are SWAMPED now with orders.
