a bit of grease over the area first, and use a brass hammer, and brass, plastic or other non maring driver, {flat nosed punch} to drive it back on.
look through the hole, and youll see when its ligned up, to install the pin.
install the pin with same punch.

Thanks for all your help Chuck, got the front sight installed except for the pin....How much force should it take to get it through the hole and does it matter which way you put the little holder into the barrel slot?

pins and dovetails.. left to right out, right to left in.
they can be tough, a BFH may be needed.
