"Desirable" is a pretty subjective term here...why not just buy the one that's most desirable to you?

Well, I thought someone would agree the Long Branch is a better buy? Since I have a savage?

In looking at the two, I prefer the Long Branch, but I could be termed bias ....

If you have a Savage, get the Long Branch. The last LB shown is a good looking piece.

I have both but the LB is the better of the two.

So I am a little puzzled here, you ask what to buy then post you have a Savage? Why the question in the first place?
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

The one you don't have in your collection is always the most valuable to you if you are the buyer.

The one that's not in someone's collection is always the most valuable to them.

There is no worldwide standard that legitimately can say a Long Branch is more valuable than a Maltby, a Fazakerley, a BSA, a POFicon or a Savage - it's all down to "the value of the rifle being in the eye of the collector."
