Hello to all you fellow gun lovers. I'm Dan Miles, retired from a National Lab, and currently live in Pampa, TX. I Have just completed my first real "gun-smithing" project by rebarreling a Yugoicon K98icon to a .243 for a grandson. Very challenging but also satisfying!! Head spacing was a real "bugger" too. Synthetic stock with Weaver scope/mounts & a cammo sling topped off the project. Turned out good enough that I'm going to build one for myself!! LOL..Anyhow, just enjoying retirement..

Just logged in. I'm in the military and have a small collection of militaria from WWI-WWII including some old firearms. Came across this site and thought it looked interesting.

    New Member,

Hello Gang, My name is Smoke, & found this site which from what I've read this seems like an excellent site. Had a few problems signing on but Badger helped me out and now I'm here. Thanks Badger. I've been shooting and collecting all of my life & with having retired from the U.S.iconArmy F.N.G. I've had alot of experience with various weapons. I look forward to reading & sharing alot of info with you folks. Currently I've collected an early Yugoicon Mod 98k in 8mm, M91/30, M44. All of which shoot great but the M44 will look like a totally new firearm when I've completed.

Greetings to all. I am a late bloomer in the firearms world, but despite my meager income, I really like the study of classic firearms. After a visit to the gun show today in Fresno, I think that I will focus my next phase of collecting towards the US military rifle. So I look forward to being enriched by this community.

Retired, living large in the wilds of Northern Ontario....used to be a West Coaster, but I moved back to Canadaicon This looks like a great site with lots of good historical data. A new comer from Canada

Hi! everyone, I just registered today! My main interest are in military firearms from the second world war and from the Korean war. The M1 Garand and the M14icon are two of my favorites. I am presently researching about the shape of the M1 operating to determine when is it bended.
I understand that it was intentionally at certain part of the tube. A picture showing the answer to this query would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!

    Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this sight. I collect 1911 pistol's, both new and war series. Hope to be asking help from experienced collectors and maybe making a few purchases from members. I'm a former Marine so I would be interested in any Marine issued 1911.

    Semper Fi,
    Jerry
