A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. cartridge identification

The cartridges in the photo are as follows:

    5,45x39mm Sovieticon, 7,62x39mm Soviet, 220 SAKO, 7,92x40mm CETME Spain, 4,85 UKicon

The 7,92mm CETME was loaded with a 108 grain bullet with a aluminum core, there was
also a 7,62mm CETME cartridge too. The CETME was evolved from the original Germanicon Stg 45 from WW2

Some bit bigger bangers and one rather larger one

L ~ R 7mm SAUM, 7mm RUM x 2, 338 Lapua Mag, 30/06 for comparison thought I would drop in our old door stop of some 50 years a 4" ( A.N.F.A) Australianicon National Field Artillery a 35lb projectile (Inert, fake fuse and driving band) the nickle 303 cartridge if for comparison.
I used the shell to build up arm strength for 50m free pistol as holding that lump straight out in the firing position for 2 - 4-5 minutes certainly worked you over. When I picked up either the 357 mag or 44 mag they were just feather light certainly gave all the muscles involved in free standing pistol a great work out and I never dropped it on my foot

    some additional cartridges

    Attachment 62996

The Newton Family - it took some time to assemble and a few were made
from other Newton cases. I think that this is the entire group. It would
be nice to own a Newton rifle in each of the above calibers. The early
Newton rifles were really interesting and well made.

all the way to the left is a Frenchicon 8mm Lebel. I "think" the second is an 11mm Mauser, or some other "A" base similar round, the third is a Lebel gallery round, I think.

    Weatherby line up

Here are the Weatherby's with all but one a 30/378 which hopefully one day I may come across and like RCS and the NEWTONS took time to assemble. Especially since in Aus the 300's + and the 460 are not that common nor the .224 which is long gone from Weatherby's line up. I would still like to know about the 09 K round in my previous post if some one has an idea as to its type. As for the ones RCS has put up the gallery round is the last one the other 2 I do not know but would be interested in learning. As far as cartridges go flicking through the 14th ed of Cartridges Of The World there is no end to what has been created or faded into obscurity I have one (a one of) cartridge that a chap developed here in W.A and had to put it through Police ballistics section prior to being accepted from my patchy recollections I think he called it the Western Hunter will dig it up from the collection and post pics and dimensions have no idea of its performance may be close to the 338 Mitchel Express not long developed over here in Australiaicon.TIA

8 mm Lebel, 11mm Gras and either a 8mm Lebel practice or guard round.
