Yes the very same as in the one closed recently and given back. I used Rheindallen as an example, not that everything went missing from there alone but BAOR generally, as the Det was based there

How can equipment go missing - my recollection of schemes in northern germany in the 60's was that if you ever met up with another Unit in the day you made b----y sure you kept an eye on your kit - and then had a wander round the other Unit.

I do remember a bit of a fuss when a Piat gun disappeared out of the armoury.
