Hello from downrange, coming back home next year to Western Canadaicon.

I've enjoyed collecting firearms for 20 years and I look forward to getting back to Canada to shoot and hunt. I am on CGN as well.

Great resource site, used it many times before now for references.
    regards

    Your newest student....

I heard from a mod on another great forum that this place was a treasure trove of knowledge, so here I sit, your humble student.

About me: I aspire to become the guy that can do ANYTHING imaginable to ANY weapon and make it look easy (eventually).
[My screen name is somewhat reflective of my background, but it is MORE an indication of what I intend to become.]

Side note: I came from a fine arts background and I love to take commissions for weapon, war, conflict, etc. related drawings and paintings from fellow gun nuts.

    Hello,

I’ve browsed this forum in the past and was impressed by the wealth of knowledge resident here. I figured I might as well join.

My primary interests are in the Sterling Mark IV/L2A3 SMGs and, to a lesser degree, the later semi auto versions. I’m also interested in acquiring any good quality spare parts for the SMG.

    Newbie fm Dayton

Had a bit of trouble getting registared but finally made it. Got back to shooting after having been robbed in "92". They took everything and kinda soured me on having weapons for quite awhile. A riding friend got me reinterested and my first acquisition was a BU Makarov in excellent condition. Have since acquired MilSurp weapons from Russiaicon, Poland, Czechland, Yugoland, the DDR, Romiland, Hungery, West Germanyicon, and China. Mostly pistols but have a few rifles. My favorite is an MOD sniper select M91/30 Hex 1936/53. Has sniper ID cyrillic letters right and left of Tula Star but receiver has not been drilled for scope. Hence "sniper select". Also have DDR M91/30 with the number 1 in a triangle on the receiver. Got these two purely by accident as I didn't know squat about Mosins at the time. They were in really good shape and I got them cause they appealed to me and were real cheap. In the pistol arena I am somewhat partial to P64s, Maks' and Toks. One of the BU Maks has the bronze colored hammer and safety but in addition the frame and slide also have a bronze tint. No, it is not cosmolineicon residue as I clean all new acquisitions thoroughly. Anywho, glad to have signed on and look forward to reading and submitting posts. Have reloaded since mid 80's and with scarcity of Nagant and Tokarev surplus have been reworking .223 hulls for these pistols and am looking for some good load data for the 7.62 x 25, preferably using Red Dot, Bullseye, and/or W 231.

Remember "Heros don't wear capes, they wear US military uniforms."
