Trimble Tn Stock For Inland ?

Noticed this Type II Hi-Wood stock on Ebay.
It has a Inland size Crossed Cannon stamp along with a circled P proof on the bottom of the pistol grip.
Odd thing is the slingwell is marked TRIMBLE over TN....... With a tall Serif I next to it.

I've seen (actually own) a Type II RSG marked stock with a sideways stamped I in the slingwell and a partial stamped Inland size CC on the right.
Have also seen RMC and I stamped stocks with the acceptance stamp by Inland.

Anyone ever seen a TRIMBLE made stock used by Inland?

    Good Weekend,

Charlie, not sure of the Trimble for Inland stock, but I have seen that patch on th left rail before. I believe it was cut to mount a scope. One of my RMC (in the sling well) highwood stocks. I did the patch. Mine has a stamp on the bottom of the grip RA-P and a unit stamp next to the oiler slot HQ 110 27 (rifle 27) no other stamps. A google search turned up two Headquater units 110, an Australianicon Engineer unit in RVN and a Nebraskan NG Med. unit ......Frank

It may just be the picture, but the circled P proof on the bottom of the grip doesn't look quite right.
A possible rebuild or proof firing stamp?
The early circled P proof stamp has the leg of the P to the left of the circle. Also the round part of the P looks squared off.
    Hope this makes sense........

Charlie, now I see the circle P that looks squared off. Maybe it is the picture. Have you ever seen one squared off like that? Does the rest of it look O.K.? Wasn't that something about that broken S.G. stock bringing over $400 last week.....Frank

I think it's the rebuilt Serifed P in the circle........... just lightly stamped.

That S'G' stock went for about what I guessed near $450......... A nice cartouche can blind guys to the other defects.

Yes that's right, you did say between $400 & 500. I think sometimes you just have to be patient. To much money for a "might" make it work.....Frank

I had a beautiful one. I bought it as a NPM. It had a great NPM cartouche and Trimble TN in slingwell. Once it arrived I examined it closely and found there was an Inland cartouche under the NPM. Some rock head ruined this beautiful Inland stock by placing an NPM cartouche over it. I returned it for a refund, needless to say.

Here's mine I got on a Bavarian Underwood from the CMPicon. It's a type 2 highwood. Doesn't have just an I, but a T.I. in the slingwell. The numbers in the slingwell don't match my serial.
