I'm not going to find out what they taste like. Two years ago a big one took a fisherman in a town up the coast and the town caught and killed he crock. People are still in jail for that. Our beach is divided by a river outlet and estuary and the crocks salt water fish in the evening and morning. A few toes have been bit this year but the stupid tourists will just walk up to the big ones sunning on the beach. Easter week there were two blocking traffic one night.

Same here with snakes. Wildlife folks posted a not about turkey season & snakes warning to be careful not to disturb them or their habitat. No mention of not getting bitten.
What a world we live in.

I had a swim at dawn in the Gulf of Papagayo two weeks ago. I didn’t know there were saltwater crocodiles in Guanacaste.

Its like bears up where I am. We get people coming up from down South (Toronto) who have never seen a bear, and they think it is a great idea to get as close to it as they can or try to get a photo with it.

There are salt water crocodiles in California? The firearm laws in NJ are downright repressive but we don't have to worry about deadly snakes, crocs, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc. Need to move to PA where I can have the best of both worlds.

It's all fun and games until the drunk Yankee down from Philly wants to play The crocodile Hunter in a speedo.
