    German scope ZF4

I rediscovered this scope I bought at garage sale years ago. Has a levered mount on it with the words loseand feston lever handles and the number 9923 stamped on it. I was directed to this forum because of my interest in military surplus but also because of the knowledge available about this item. Thanks in advance.

What do you wish to know?
Looks like a G/K43 set-up. The scope may be on backwards. (I'm NOT the Germanicon arms guru!)

    Good signature, BTW.

I guess I'm looking for age, worth, collectibility. Someone on another forum told me to come here because it may be actually worth something to collectors. Thanks for the comment on sig-I hate the term politically correct !!

    Thumbs up

You have a scope and mount for the WW 2 Germanicon G/K 43 semi auto rifles.
What are the markings on the other side? Are the optiks clear? Can't read the proof so I can't tell which factory made the mount.

Thanks-MJ1 corrected rubber placement-I actually thought at first the rubber was an original idea for a sunshade but now realize it's an eyepiece. WOW $1700-$2000 not bad for a garage sale purchase.-feel like I'm on Antiques Roadshow. Thanks everyone-just joined forum yesterday and have done a ton of reading so far. Found a lot of info about my Smith Corona 03A3 and a Geha Germanicon shotgun I believe. Thanks again.

    Buy over here?

If you search on the Germanicon version of that unmentionable online auction, entering the keywords ZF4 and Zielvier (abbreviation for Zielfernrohr 4) you will get a page of offers. Mostly for ones with a 98k mounting, but there is one for the G43 on offer right now for 290 euros, one or two days to go, and no bids.

If somebody wants one, then why not buy it here and have it shipped by airmail post - it's just an old telescope, not a weapon.
