    TV blooper?

I was watching the final episode of "Life on Mars" last night. At one point, the hero goes down to a boat anchored at the pier, carrying what appears to be a Ruger Mini-14 GB. Goes aboard the boat, sets the rifle down to check on a little boy (himself, actually, if you followed the series), then turns around and picks the rifle back up....except that it now appears to be an AK-47 of some sort!

You can go to Home - ABC.com and view the episode on your pc, if it really mattered...

    Just my 2¢...

I used to watch life on Mars myself. I stopped because I thought the plot just developed to get to be a bit too outrageous. I might check out that video you posted though if it's still up. I'll see if I can make sense of it.
