OT H&P Sling Question

I have the opportunity to buy a 1907 sling marked H&P1918 over W.E.H. Question is: Who/what is H&P? Have googled myself to death, can find H&P but do not know what is stands for. Tried here because of the date.

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.
