1 inch tubed scope for an Enfield scope mount

Waiting for Roger´s scope mounts to proceed through the finishing process, I realised that I´ll then need a scope to fit with a one inch tube. Doesn´t seem to be that easy, as I´m looking for a short, red dot, approx. x 4, similar to the Germanicon ZF4.

Plenty of mil type scopes on the market (typically with Picatinny mounts attached), but can´t find one for a one inch tube. Any help would be much appreciated.

(My old ZF4´d be perfect, as it´s only 8.5 inches long and has the post type recticle that I´m used to .. and fits in it´s original box ... if it didn´t have a 29 & 30mm tube diameter and did have an illuminated red dot)

These have cross hairs, but my suggestion would be these: Weaver K2.5, K3, orK4 - see pics of how they look below; of these, I think the K3 (middle pic) is the closest in appearance to the No. 32 scope. A good K3Attachment 55064Attachment 55065Attachment 55066 will go for under $100. There's hazardous lack of the eye relief of the last pic, the drums should be in front of the front mounting ring, with all these Weaver scopes.

The big Q. Villers is this. What is the actual project? Fitting up a repro No4T or making up an original rifle with missing scope.

Repro rifle, just use a repro scope. The real McCoy, then the real McCoy of course.

You COULD use a slightly smaller dia tubed scope and put a couple of split spacer rings in to take up the slack

The idea is not to make up a "repro" anything. All I want is a short, usable scope. A 30mm tube is too large (1.25 inches) for the standard rings. Think it might have to be a Weaver, but I would like an illuminated dot. Kahles do a one inch tube scope KX 2-7x36 (not illuminated) and the Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 is ok but a bit large.

I take it you've had a good trawl through a certain ebbie-auction site. Some of the Chinese stuff is quite usable.
