    Bolt I.D. Please

What can you guys tell me about this? Looks like it is stamped T on back of handle, R underneath. It doesn't look like Bubba turned this bolt. Has it been turned this way for a specific reason? Please excuse my large pics, its the only way I currently know how!

Looks like a home shop attempt to create an "a4" bolt. I believe thats the reason for the reverse curve on the handle and the grind mark on the back side.

    Regards,

    Jim

Looks just like a bolt I bought from Gun Parts Corp (Numrich). Modified for use with a scope. In my case, some grinding required to get it to fit the receiver.

Just curious what exactly you had to grind?

The area just above your thumb in the first photo. When the bolt was bent, it displaced some metal which prevented the safety shroud from seating against the back of the bolt.
