    Sarco 03A4 scope mount

I have a Remington 03A3 that was previously "bubba'd" and returned to general military configuration by me many years ago. The reciever on this rifle was relieved for a scope bent bolt (not 03A4) and fitted to a nice Keystone C stock when I got it. Unfortunately the stock was relieved for the bolt also. This rifle shoots very well with ammo it likes, but will never be worth much except as a shooter.

I now have another better condition SC 03A3 action that I am building into a mil-spec rifle with a new 2-groove barrel for Garandicon type match competition. It won't be worth a lot either, but at least it won't have unneccessary gaps ground into the various parts.

I would like to turn the Remington into an 03A4 clone. I have a decent bolt and may know the location of an M84 scope.

Are the Sarco scope mounts any good? I know the new Redfield mounts are supposed to be crap. Are these the same? Has anyone actually mounted and used one of these Sarco bases?

    Thanks

If you decide to go forward with the M84 you will also need a set of two piece 7/8" rings. i haven't checked Sarco but here is one source.

if you choose to use one of the above listed bases, mind that the holes dont line up right, if you D&T centers like you should they will canter off a bit.
iv delt with them in the past,,frustrating to say the least
